The BAYLESS Families of OHIO

BAYLESS & MCCARTHY Crock

BAYLESS CROCK

I have recently aquired this fine earthenware crock from Louisville, KY. As some of the KY BAYLESS families originated in Ohio, I decided to place this photo here. I would like to know about the Louisville family associated with this crock.

There is much interest in the BAYLESS and Allied Families of OHIO. I have had queries from some descendants regarding who their ancestors may have been or where their OH ancestry originated. I live in South GA, a beautiful location but very short on genealogical information for palces north of Atlanta. I am, however, very fortunate in that there are three excellant genealogical libraries within 40 miles of my home: The Ellen Payne Odum Genealogical Library, The Folks Huxford Genealogical Society Library and Elmer's Library. Of these librarys, Elmer's contains a great deal of information on OH. Elmer Spear is a native of OH and has collected many publications and microfilm records for that state. Through his generosity and with the help of Madison Co., FL, volunteers, Mr. Spear has made his collection available to the public. I am in the process of gleaning information from his library. On this page, I will provide results of this research. This page also includes information that has been contributed by BAYLESS descendants and information from other librarys including the Odum and the Huxford librarys.

Send your submissions, comments, complaints, corrections, etc. to Me, Barbara Ribling!
