Notes for Elmer Jack BAYLESS

Jack Bayless was in the Navy in WWII and suffered in the infamous Bataan
Death March. He returned home from the war but disappeared soon after
his return and was never seen by his family again. His father hired a
private detective but the detective was unable to find Jack. His
disappearance broke his mother's heart and left some family members
bitter. Years later it was learned that Jack had died impoverished in
New Orleans, LA in 1966. He was loved and mourned by many.
