A List of Cemeteries and Burials
I have compiled this list of burials from various sources. I have seen the burials in Limestone Co., in TX, Knox Co., TN, and in Noble,GA. The rest of the information cannot be vouched for as I have not personally seen the graves. I have other burial information which has not yet been included in this listing. I hope to update this file in the future. As with all the information on my WEB pages please take caution and beware of errors. It is always best to verify all data yourself when possible.

Center Point Cemetery: Located North of LaFayette at Noble, just East of Hwy 27. The old part joins Center Point Church grounds West of the church, between the church and the highway. These graves are close to the church on the west side. I, Barbara Ribling, have seen and recorded these graves.
Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington Co., TNNOTE: I, Barbara Ribling, have not seen these graves.
John Bayless (b.25 Nov.1746), father of Rev. Rees Bayless. John "is buried between Daniel II and Reece Bayless in the old Cherokee Cemetery." The quote is from the same unidentified book cited above. His grave is marked by a DAR marker. I now believe that this John Bayless is the father of Samuel Porter Bayless.
Mary Nodding (b.16 Jan.1874 d.10 Aug.1810), wife of Samuel Bayless, son of Daniel and Johannah Lake. Mary is buried at the Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Rees Bayless (b.22 Aug.1787 d.29 Oct.1864). Rees was a Baptist preacher for more than 50 years. His name is variously spelled Rees, Reese, Reece. He was the son of John Bayless, a church Elder, and the grandson of Rev. Daniel Bayless (d.1800). He, his father and grandfather are buried in the Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington Co., TN. He was pastor of the Cherokee Creek Church andother churches of the Holston Association in TN. From Sketches of Tennessee's Pioneer Baptist Preachers by J.J. Burnett, D.D.
Bayless Cemetery, Near Hall's Crossroads, Knox Co., TN, HWY 131 N Near Thomas Rd.NOTE: Information on this cemetery was gathered by myself, Barbara Ribling. I have seen these graves. I believe that this is the cemetery that was visited by Ferol Frost Hubbs in the 1940s. At the time she visited, she saw the grave of Isaac Bayless. There is no longer a marker extant for Isaac. I am seeking further information about the family members in this cemetery.
